ANSWER
The Parliamentary Under-Secretary of State for European Neighbourhood and the Americas (Wendy Morton): The UK Government does not comment on speculation. The United States and United Kingdom are strong partners and allies, with a uniquely close and active defence and security partnership. Ministers and officials regularly engage with the US on a wide range of security issues, both bilaterally and in NATO, including the deployment of US troops in Europe.
