Dr Julian Lewis: I shall not give in to the temptation to follow the bizarre interpretation of the hon. Member for Ealing, North (Stephen Pound) of the events that led to the First World War. Given the equivocation that so often surrounds matters to do with Northern Ireland, will the Secretary of State [John Reid] tell the House precisely what he means when he talks of putting illegal paramilitary weapons completely beyond use?
